ITsavvy is looking for a Senior Manager, Finance & Accounting to lead accounting, financial reporting, control functions and processes. The Senior Manager, Finance & Accounting role is a highly visible position responsible for dynamic, fast growing IT products and Solutions company. This individual will own accounting policy decisions that directly impact the company’s financial results and its financial reporting integrity. The role will build and oversee financial infrastructure and prepare financial reports in compliance with GAAP and company requirements. 

 

The ideal candidate will have strong verbal and written communication skills and be capable of explaining accounting issues to finance and non-financial leaders. The desired theme is one of steady and sustainable continuous improvement. This leader will have the ability to drive change confidently, rapidly and effectively by influencing behavior within the accounting team, the business and by cross-department partnerships.

 

Key Responsibilities: 

What You’ll Do

  • Manage the monthly and quarterly accounting close and internal financial reporting processes, as well as timely and accurate analysis of financial results.
  • Act as the main liaison to the external auditors to assist in the completion of an efficient annual review.
  • Understand new accounting technical guidance (US GAAP), assess the implications, if any, to the company, and execute adoption/implementation as appropriate. 
  • Leverage the new ERP system to maintain and enhance the accounting close process, controls and reporting.
  • Manage the Accounting team comprised of transaction services and general ledger focused employees.
  • Ensuring compliance with all internal and external reporting requirements.
  • Complete ad hoc projects assigned by the leadership team, including analysis of business operations, proposed accounting treatment of significant or unusual transactions, treasury functions or other accounting and finance-related matters.
  • Work closely with the Vice President, Finance to support the Sales leadership team and COO to meet business requirements.
  • Prepare analysis and insights for results compared to annual plan, forecasts and trends.
  • Use analytics and data to identify trends and opportunities for cost-savings and other efficiencies.
  • Provide accounting insight during the annual and long-range plan development processes.

  • Develops staff to ensure smooth transfer of knowledge for key positions; hire, train and coach to provide for appropriate succession planning.
  • Serve as key leader over the integrity and timely completion of the monthly, quarter and annual consolidated close process and financial statementsBuild strong network of internal and external resources and advisors to ensure best practices are identified and adopted by the team and ERP system.

 

Specialized Knowledge/Skills:

 What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance and/or economics
  • CPA or actively pursuing is a plus
  • 7+ years in a public accounting, financial reporting or controllership supportive role, with international and consolidations experience with a multi-national company
  • Public accounting experience preferred
  • Prior public company experience preferred
  • Experience with the consolidation process, including international transactions and entities, and systems such as Acumatica ERP or similar ERP based system.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, changing environment while serving the needs of multiple stakeholders and leadership.
  • Technical knowledge of US GAAP and SEC rules and regulations and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
