ITsavvy Receives Elite Crain’s Awards
June 29, 2012
ADDISON, IL—ITsavvy recently received two of Crain’s highest honors-designated as one of the Largest Privately Held Companies in the Chicago area and one of the Fastest Growing companies in the Chicago area. Both awards are based on annual revenue.
“We are extremely pleased with our performance and especially proud that a publication as fine as Crain’s has recognized us,” said Mike Theriault, ITsavvy’s president & CEO. “None of this would have been possible without talented management, dedicated employees and loyal clients.”
This is the fourth consecutive year that ITsavvy has been included in the Largest Privately Held Companies list, moving up 29 positions over last year. This is the second year that ITsavvy has been included in the Fast Fifty list—coming in at number 31. The Crain’s staff began soliciting applications for the Fast Fifty List in January 2012. They also looked through lists of public and private companies for likely qualifiers–companies with headquarters in the six-county Chicago area of Cook, DuPage, Kane, Lake, McHenry and Will with 2010 revenue of at least $20 million.
Fast Fifty winners had to demonstrate revenue growth in the last year and no more than one year of declining revenue in the 2005-2011 period. Crain’s required financial statements or tax returns from 2005 and 2011 for all private companies and enlisted an independent professional services firm for assistance in verifying financial information. Additionally, they checked figures submitted by public companies against filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Companies with the highest five-year percentages of growth made it to the Fast Fifty list.
“The success we’re enjoying which Crain’s has recognized has truly been a team effort.” Theriault said. “With a portfolio of new Cloud and managed services coming online and an expanding roster of top engineering talent, our opportunities for growth are unlimited.”
